Tiny Tootle
Frequently Asked Questions

Our Products & Materials
What makes Tiny Tootle clothing “Organic”?
All of our garments are sourced and made from 100% Pure Organic Cotton and recycled sustainable materials. GOTS certification of the manufacturer ensures that the cotton is grown without the use of toxic pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, or genetically modified seeds. GOTS also verifies that strict environmental and social standards are met throughout the entire manufacturing process, from farm to final product.
Why is Pure Organic Cotton so important?
It guarantees non-toxic purity not only in the growing of the cotton but also in the processing. This means that the dyes, printing inks, and finishing treatments used on Tiny Tootle clothes are free from harmful chemicals, heavy metals, formaldehyde, and AZO dyes, making them safe for your baby's sensitive skin.
Are your dyes safe?
Absolutely. During the manufacturing process, only low-impact, and approved dyes are used that contain no harmful or carcinogenic chemicals. This commitment ensures that our vibrant prints and colors are beautiful, durable, and completely safe for your baby to wear, chew on, and snuggle with.
Are the clothes pre-shrunk?
Our garments are not chemically pre-shrunk to maintain their organic integrity. They are generally made using slightly oversized patterns to account for the minor shrinkage (typically about 5%) that naturally occurs in organic cotton after the first few washes.
Sizing & Fit
How do I choose the correct size for my baby?
We design our clothes to be a comfortable fit for active babies. Our sizing is based on the age range AND the average height/weight for that range. We strongly recommend checking our detailed Size Chart [Click to see Size Chart] on our website. If your baby is between sizes, we suggest sizing up to ensure maximum wear time and comfort.
Do your clothes run true to size?
Generally, yes. We design for a comfortable, slightly relaxed fit to allow for easy dressing and movement. If you find your little one is at the upper end of the height or weight range for a size (e.g., they are 6 months old but measure closer to the 9-month average), we recommend selecting the next size up (9-12 months).
Why do Tiny Tootle clothes sometimes look longer/larger than conventional brands?
This is often a functional design choice. We make certain garments, especially sleepers and rompers, slightly longer in the torso and foot to ensure they are comfortable for fast-growing babies and account for any minor shrinkage after washing.
Care & Longevity
How should I wash my Tiny Tootle clothes?
To preserve the softness and longevity of your organic cotton clothing, we recommend the following:
  • • Wash: Machine wash cold, on a gentle cycle.
  • • Detergent: Use a mild, pH-neutral, and enzyme-free detergent.
  • • Dry: Tumble dry low or, preferably, line dry.
  • • Avoid: Do NOT use bleach, fabric softeners, or harsh stain
    • removers, as these chemicals can damage the organic fibers.
Will the vibrant prints fade?
Our non-toxic, low-impact dyes are selected for their color-fastness. By following the care instructions (especially washing in cold water and avoiding high heat drying), you can ensure the prints remain bright and beautiful for many wears and washes.
Do you offer a guarantee on your zippers and snaps?
Yes. We use high-quality, durable, nickel-free snaps and YKK zippers in all our clothing’s.
